Clusters of purplish-black medium to large berries are mildly sweet and quite tasty. Great for pies, cobblers, jellies, jams, smoothies and cakes. Berries are about the size of a lowbush blueberry, or a bit larger, and seedier. Large yields on a somewhat upright shrub with loose arching branches. Crossed between two popular cultivars, used for fruit and market production in Canada.
New leaves are very light green and contrast beautifully against the older dark green lower leaves. Beautiful fragrant 5-petaled white flowers are early harbingers of spring in Maine. Nice red-orange fall foliage. Z3. Maine Grown. (1–3' shrubs)
