Mycorrhizal filaments expand total root mass by up to 50 times; the larger surface area increases plants’ access to nutrients, water and oxygen. Compounds produced by mycorrhizae bind soil particles into clumps, which improves porosity to encourage water penetration, root growth and aeration.
Add to seedbeds when sowing and work into the soil around your trees and shrubs to boost root growth, nutrient uptake and the health of your plants and soils. When seeding use 1 tsp/ft, in beds mix in 2#/1000 sq ft. When transplanting bare-root trees, use 1 oz/inch of stem caliper. For restoring fields broadcast 40-60#/acre before or during planting.
