Annual. Extravagant and peculiar! Small showy lemon-yellow flowers on long multi-branched stems appear in early summer and soon transform into jubilant 1½" goblet-shaped seedpods, upright, ribbed, radiating out into needle-thin curved points that turn from green to deep purple. These trumpeting pods are quite distinct from the other nigella we offer, which are ballooned. Similar wispy foliage. 18–24" tall.
