Grinder Goblin Apple

×
scionwood
This is a twig for grafting. Late Fall. Bittersharp cider apple. Unknown parentage. Rocky Ground Cider intro, Newburgh, ME.

Large blocky often ribbed fruit can be so big it needs to be cut in half to fit in the grinder before pressing! Greenish-yellow skin with some faint red blush and a russeted stem cavity. Keeps well and bitterness increases in storage. On trial in MOFGA’s no-spray South Orchard where it is growing vigorously. Blooms midseason. Z4.
