This is a twig for grafting. Early Fall. Fameuse seedling. Canada, 19th century or possibly much earlier.

Medium-large round-oblate apples are pale yellow washed and marbled with bright red and overlaid with striking dark red stripes. Crisp, juicy, tender, fine-grained flesh. All-purpose. Recommended for dessert, pies, or sauce.

Red St. Lawrence was discovered in Newburgh, Maine, as a sport (mutation) of this variety. Z3.
