Red skin, yellow flesh. Here’s one to rival the hugely popular Red Gold, which has been in short— supply the last few years. Super-early Carla has darker red skin, deeper yellow flesh, and the same firm smooth texture we love in Red Gold. Our grower says, “These Carla Rosa are so good that there is a potato farmer here that grows thousands of acres of Russets, but he comes and gets this variety from me to eat because he loves them so much. The Red Gold are good, but Carla are better!” Matures at least as early as Red Gold, so you can have them on the table before summer even peaks. In our grower’s trial, Carla’s yield was nearly double that of Red Gold. Medium semi-erect vines with purple flowers. Resistant to hollow heart, growth crack, second growth and shatter bruise. PVP. NEW!
